Why you’re ‘Sure’ to like our new roaming network partner
Last year we were delighted to be able to announce a new--and we think very significant--addition to the growing number of key industry partnerships we’re forging here at Swiss Networking Solutions: a link between us and a company called Sure International.

If you’re not familiar with the brand, Sure is a telecommunications company operating out of the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey, the Falkland Islands, St. Helena, Ascension Island, and the British Indian Ocean Territory.
It turns out Sure International is a trading name for a bigger group called the Beyon group of companies, which operate in other jurisdictions including Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the Maldives, Yemen and Egypt, that means the firm can enjoy all the unique business independence of the Islands and also leverage an important multinational footprint.
The Sure International value proposition
What is Sure International doing with that set of unique advantages? Sure is all about providing cloud, datacentre, cybersecurity and managed IT solutions that enable local businesses to thrive in today’s global marketplace. That word ‘local’ is not used without intent, either; the firm really wants to be the local business partner of choice.
But for what kind of business? Sure actually does a lot, starting with its dedicated offshore datacentre and cloud service; via its Tier 3 facility, it can guarantee local data residency for co-location or hosting, which is important for many organisations these days.
The Sure datacentre is also the hub of a wide range of on-premise, private, public or hybrid cloud services, including Recovery. In parallel, the company also offers a great set of managed IT, network management and monitoring services built from the ground up to provide enterprise levels of support. Last but not least, the company—like SNS—puts significant ‘skin’ into the cybersecurity ‘game,’ offering offer a suite of solutions that cover everything from DDoS-protected hosting to offshore email and web.
Meanwhile, on the telecoms font, be it local services to global networks, Sure can build a communications and network solution that suits a business. And again, like SNS, the firm wraps up all this up with a set of network design services, with specialists ready to take the time to completely understand a customer’s business model and information needs, and so co-build a customised, optimal communication and network infrastructure.
Do you want to be ‘Sure’ to succeed…
This just scratches the surface, as the company is also building great traction with its new Microsoft Teams business, support for flexible working, and even the human side of security in the shape of risk management. So, clearly a great, ambitious company; what exactly, though, is the synergy from SNS and Sure working together?
Simple: yet again, we’ve thought long and hard about how to even further helping one of our core set of customers, the global MNO and ambitious MVNO. Specifically, we think us working together is going to just radically up your global connectivity. How: Sure has a great set of global roaming agreements and preferential pricing that opens the doors to operators like you to extend your global footprint very simply and rapidly.
The mechanism for you doing that is a new joint solution, Sponsored Roaming. What that means is that, using Sure’s IMSI technology, you can leapfrog on to no less than (so far) 425 Sure-secured roaming agreements in 181 countries. At a stroke, then, operators of all sizes will be able go to market quickly and access opportunities they probably just couldn’t have without a lot of time and hassle—scaling and growing their business by marketing new, expanded MNO and MVNO solutions to the wider market.
SNS and Sure International: together, we’re looking forward to a busy next 12 months
This new SNS-Sure International partnership perfectly aligns with our other key roaming partnerships (see our post on this important aspect of our business here). And another win here is that others recognise this advantage: Telecom26, is already officially the first user of our combined forces. As a result, Telecom26 customers immediately have access to Sure’s networks across the world through Telecom26’s multi-IMSI solutions.
Watch this space for a lot more news next year for both MNOs/MVNOs and other new relationships and SNS momentum.
